After I’ve just posted the Modern and Contemporary Beds Inspiration I’ve found John Lum Architecture , a firm based in San Francisco located in a converted laundry machine factory. I’ve studied their portfolio for a few minutes, and what got my attention was the kitchens that they designed, and I’ve thought to make another collection of inspirational kitchen pictures. Their work is can be characterized as timeless, distinctive and elegantly modern, and I can say that the first kitchen is my favorite

The String Shelf System is a flexible system package that can be assembled to the same configuration as in the photographs below or to your own alternative configuration using the same components. Alternatively all shelves and units can be repositioned elsewhere in the system by simply lifting and moving. This piece is quite expensive for a string a plexiglass shelving systems ( £788 ), but it looks clean and simple, and it can be moved easily.

Located in the historic district of Gelnhause, Germany, this unique project named the Living Room was designed by Seifert Stoeckmann. Now if you feel that your house has not enough windows, then I’m sure that after you’ll see this project you’ll change your mind. The house is perforated by 52 windows set in a checkerboard pattern. Just think for a second …52 windows …there will be a lot of work at washing them. The bedroom hangs in a sliding drawer that can be opened over the street for alfresco sleeping, very cool design. Finally I don’t think that I would like to life in a house like this, and the only reason for a house like this to exist is …as a tourist attraction.

Maybe you don’t have enough space or money for a walk in closet, but here is a solution that will allow you to have an envy-inspiring clothes storage area by dressing up the doors. These sliding bamboo closet doors from Moso Bamboo add interest to what would otherwise , and be a pretty plain wall.

The Emiselene bed by Mazzali is a piece of furniture that looks good and will surely grab some attention. The design is characterized by the curving structure, that is not just for the aesthetics, it server another concealed purpose, as a storage space. The bedroom also has a matching low bedside table and chest of drawers which are sold separately. Included with the bed is either a fabric or leather cushion roll. The bed is made of plywood and solid wood, with an oak or cherry veneer.

The Evitavonni Blue Chair is a piece of furniture with a brilliant color of blue that makes the chair an inevitable focal point for any room. The design is suitable for contemporary interiors and is truly iconic, the quilted effect with interspersed buttons playing with the norms of more traditional furniture. The chair looks good, and I’m pretty sure that it will cost some money but you have a good looking piece of furniture that can last a lifetime. Finally to make everything look even better the chair comes equipped with a comfortable matching footstool.

Twins is a piece of furniture designed by Daniele Lago. This piece is composed of two elements shaped as “L’s” and they can be adapted to create two different pieces of furniture according to your needs. In conclusion this piece is great especially if you want a new look in your home from time to time.
